Shootists' Shindig a "Sh-mash"!!

Muerte & Ms Fyre Top Scores While Mountain Black and Painless Doc Score Top Prizes

What a great way to close out 2003! We had roughly 45 shooters and their guests out at "El Muerte" & "Dreadnought Dolly's" home, with TONS of good ol' BBQ provided by Molly's Smokehouse in Wahiawa and a bunch of sweet treats brought by our members!

We also had our annual SASH board elections, and the club decided to hold onto the same board members for 2004. They are as follows: President - Phil "Branded Buck" Rapoza; Vice President - Jeff "El Muerte de Dolor" Wang; Treasurer - George "Zane Grey" Zane; Armorer - Mike "Wyatt" Wee; Territorial Governor - Ron "Clell" Miller; and Secretaries - Kevin "Half Kocked" Andreshak and myself, Shar "Ms. Fyre" Asato. We all look forward to serving our positions once again for the coming year.

The big winners of this year's raffle were Jan "Mountain Black" Schwarzenberg, who won a beautiful 44 cal. Walker with the original box and a wood display box - donated by Ron "Clell" Miller from his personal collection. Also, Max "Painless Doc" Cooper picked up a $250 gift certificate from Old Oaks Leather Carver - Aaron Heizer. Aaron has done some amazing work on holsters, belts and other leather goods, so if you're lookin' to get a new rig, please give him a call at 429-0608, or email him with your ideas at: aaronheiser@aol.com.

Our first shoot of 2004 will be held on January 25th (see schedule to the right), so we hope to see most of you kickin' up a lil' dirt on Sunday... Our club has been able to secure shootin' dates for every month this year, however, we are NOT going by the "4th Sunday of every month" schedule, so please be sure to check the calendar. For those of you who have yet to pay yer dues for 2004, please fill out the membership app & bring your payment on January 25th, or mail it to us at:

This year, votes were taken from the membership for the following: Most Improved Shooter and Member Who Contributed the Most to SASH. This year's winners were: Ken "Homebrew" Taylor for Most Improved and Mike "Wyatt" Wee for Contributing the Most. Great job guys!

In May 2003, our 3rd stage involved having the "bad guys" hiding behind some cactus, and were told not to shoot the cactus, or you get 5 seconds added to your score... Well, as the last shooter of the last stage, Mr. Miller decided to decapitate the poor ol' cactus... and was mighty pleased with himself to boot! Therefore we've awarded our own Territorial Governor, Ron "Clell" Miller "Best Shot of 2003"!

We also had a few members don their "Sunday Best" for the party. Lydia "Fast Addie" Belshe took home the "Best Dressed" award, which she completely deserves, as she made the costume herself!

Congratulations to all of this year's winners, and to all of our members for making 2003 a safe, fun and a smoke n' lead-filled year!
