SASH Has One of the Biggest Turnouts Ever!

Our posse's are gettin bigger and bigger than ever - thanks in part to our great display at the March Gun Show, and members getting the word out.

42 - that's right - 42 shooters came out this past month...and that's without about a half dozen or so of our regular shooters that missed the smoky, dusty fun!

This month, the slick lead-slinger Jan "Mountain Black" Schwarzenberg stomped through the saloon doors and kicked Jeff "El Muerte" Wang off his bar stool...beating him by a whopping 3.48 seconds! El Muerte eeked by Michael "Phil A. Buster" Hahn for 2nd place - by a mere 0.53 seconds!!

We had a good number of new members and guests come out to try their hand at single action shooting. New members Eric "Pake" Ako, "Quicksilver Kelly" Moore, Jose Reyes, Jr. and his son, Manuel have officially joined the posse. Guest shooters Rolando & Lorene Galacgac, Roy Carrick, Steven Kula, Michael Lalli, Ellery Galanto, Wesley & Charlotte Grant, Anielyn Mercado, Andy Currivan, Mark Dawson, James Jackson an Donald May came out to throw down some lead as well. Glad to see so many new faces starin' down the sights of those six- shooters and lever action rifles!

Our posse member, Aaron "Old Oaks" Heizer has notified us that he and his family will be leaving the islands soon. So, if you were thinking of getting some new custom rigs, belts, or whatever - you'd better get your orders in quick!!

Aaron has created some beautiful rigs for Branded Buck, Kama'aina Kowboy, Kama'aina Kid and a few others... They're all CUSTOM made designs!!

UPCOMING SASH EVENTS

CLEAN-UP DAY: It will be held the weekend before our May Match (May 15 or 16). Time/Date and more info will be posted in our next newsletter. Stuart "Pair-A-Dice Kid" Belshe has donated some corrugated tin and wood for any fixer-upers we need to take care of. Mahalo!

SHOOTING SPORTS FAIR: It's coming up in a few short months (June 26 & 27). We are asking for ammo donations of rifle/revolver rounds only. PLEASE DO NOT DONATE SHOTGUN SHELLS. One of our members who left the islands (Jim "Step & 1/2" Crawford) has generously donated several hundred shot shells for our use at these public events. Scrip prices are as follows: 1 scrip: (5) .22 shots; (3) 38/44/45 shots; (2) shotgun shots; (1) muzzle loaded rifle shot; (1) 45/70 shot. 2 scrips: (5) Black Powder Revolver shots.
