Homebrew Hits a Homerun!

Hotter, humid weather helped Ken "Homebrew" Taylor hoist himself to the Hot Spot - 1st place! He's been a sleeper this year - slowly crawlin to the top like a rattlesnake lookin' fer trouble. He dusted the other shootists - even blowing by our 2nd place holder Jan "Mountain Black" Schwarzenberg by 13+ seconds, and smokin' long-time top gunner, Jeff "El Muerte" Wang by 30 seconds!! Way to go Homebrew!

We had some interestin' stages brought to us by John "Blackjack Derringer" Brassell... You can see the stage set-ups on our website, located under this month's match standings (links at the top for all 3 stages). We had playing cards, huge "boulders" and a scrawny rubber chicken thrown on a campfire used for this month's stages... SASH had a lot of publicity in the last few weeks - starting off with the Hunting & Fishing Weekend (Sept. 27-28) and a big article in the MidWeek (Oct. 22), followed up by a spot on the Mike Buck Radio Show (thanks to Ron "Clell" Miller for his time being interviewed for the article and radio promo). This managed to rope in a few new faces to cowboy shooting - guests include: Larry Kogachi, Thomas Vuillemot, John Carpenter, and Thomas Styner. We hope to see some of you at future shoots, and maybe as future members! We also had a few new (and old) faces making it official - Ray "Southern Comfort" Rapalee and his son signed up after having so much fun with the club at the Hunting & Fishing Expo weekend; Greg "Sarsparilla" Flick came back after several months to dirty up his guns again; David "Cowboy Two Guns" Bishoff signed on this month, after flyin over from the Big Island and shooting with us a few times; and one of the club's founders - Michael "Bones Brannon" Hahn has returned after a 10 year hiatus, with his son, Justin joinin' up for some shootin' fun!
