SASH Gazette - May
2003 5/29/2003 Wild Aimis Parts With Our Posse It seems Craig "Wild Aimis" Bevan has had about enough of us talkin' smack, so he's packing up his pony and heading out to the other side of the world - Stuttgart, Germany! This match was the last he'll shoot with us, however, he will be flying to Maui to participate in the Aloha State Games at the end of June. We wish Craig, his wife, Sherri "Cookie" Bevan and his family all the best with their move...give us a holler some time when ya got the chance! Oh yea, we'll be sure to keep your name in the Christmas drawing...and will send ya your t-shirt...(doh), I mean, whatever PRIZE you win, to your new address. *wink, wink* We had a few new shooters, and a new member come out this month, Travis "Mesquite" Howard, Greg "Jack Pine Savage" Roth and Bill "King Fisher" Young (our newest member) came out to show their stuff! Nice shootin' boys! S.A.S.H. Badges The club officers have been lookin' into gettin' some shiny new badges for the posse. El Presidente, "Branded Buck" has checked into costs for these stylish accessories, and if we order 101 badges, they'll be $41.50 a pop. Any less, and the cost jumps to $55 each. However,we're still keepin an eye out for less costly badges Please let any of the officers know if you're interested in pickin one of these puppies up (and how many you'd like to order). SHOOTING SPORTS FAIR Last weekend in June brings us the annual Shooting Sports Fair put on by HRA. SASH will have a nice size set up for the general public, and ask that all of our members come out and show some cowboy charisma! The SSF is scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 & 29 from 10 a.m. til 4 p.m. We're startin' early, meeting at our usual spot to set up our goods at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Also, those of you who can make it out on Sunday, we'd appreciate the help in breaking down after 4 p.m. The officers are holding a side match for our guests, so they can shoot "on the clock" like our usual matches. The best shootin' time for the 3 categories (men, women and little buckaroos) will win gift certificates from Out of the West (adults) and Fun Factory (for the keiki). Don't forget to dress in your Sunday best!! This is one of our biggest PR events, and is a great way to recruit new members! See ya'll there! COWBOY PORTRAITS Stan Wright, well-known sports photographer, will be at the range on Sunday, June 29th at the Shooting Sports Fair from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. He has kindly offered his services to those who want their cowboy portraits taken. Wear your finest, shine your shootin' irons, and bring the whole family! Packages
available are: For packages A-C, you keep the negative. Stan will take about 3 poses for individuals. You can choose which photos to print by visiting his studio in Honolulu or he'll mail you a disc. Call Stan at 944-8514 for more info. | |
