SASH KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR WITH A BANG!

Wild Aimis Does it Again!
We had a great turn out for our first match in 2003, with 34 shooters comin' out of the woodwork! I think there was this thing called the "Super Bowl" on the same day...but that "fancy city stuff" couldn't keep the ol' cowpokes away! Phil "Branded Buck" Rapoza pulled out some interesting stages for us this month, requiring shooters to do a painful activity - thinking and concentrating! We had a whole lotta procedurals this time 'round (over 20 for our entire posse). Of course Craig "Wild Aimis" Bevan, Jeff "El Muerte de Dolor" Wang, and Max "Painless Doc" Cooper smoked 'em all, and placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Our own Match Director, "Branded Buck" couldn't keep his own stages straight and had a couple o' procedurals...making it to 9th place. However, he was bested by a WOMAN this time around - Sharleen "Ms Fyre" Asato, who blazed her way into the top 10 for the first time, placing 6th. (Hey Buck - next time don't forget to load up on yer shotgun ammo before steppin' to the table!)

Jan "Mountain Black" Schwarzenberg and Ken "Homebrew" Taylor had some troubles with their irons on their first stages - but finished out the match in style. After the shootin' was done and the dust had cleared, Stuart "Pair a Dice Kid" and Lydia "Fast Addie" Belshe brought the chuck wagon 'round and hollered "Come and git' it!". There were piles of BBQ ribs and pulled pork to go around - that's some good eatin'! If y'all want to get some great western grub - go on down to Scotty's Barbecue in Kailua on Hamakua Drive!

NEW MEMBERS & GUESTS
A few new shooters came down to see what all the commotion was about: Jan "Mountain Black" Schwarzenberg's son, "Liberty Valance", and Brad "Frank Stout's" son, Steve, who was our only Junior Shooter for the match. Sherri "Cookie" Bevan officially joined the posse as a member, to show her husband, "Wild Aimis" a thing or two about shootin'! As did Craig "Tumbleweed" Goodell, Jake "The Boothill Bandit" Jacobs, "Lasso Lauren" Dueto and hubby "Ropin' Rich" Dueto.

Don't forget folks - you must turn in your renewal application and pay yer dues for 2003! If ya don't, you'll get hog-tied, tarred and feathered for the next match!
